Bad Valves? Help?

If my valves are bad, and i change them. What else should i have to do to the motor? Im just buying new stock valve for it. I got an 02 400 ex. Also what mods do you recomend for it?

also its bored to 416 wish a wiesco piston. Im going to jet the carb, and idk what else i should do. I have about 2000 to put into it.

How do you know they are bad? The valves dont usually go bad-they bend when catastrophic motor failure happens or if they are adjusted wrong.

What does go is the springs, they wear out and lose tension over time. honda sells them and they arent to $$

well, im buying it off my friend. and he said the valves are messed up.

do a leak down test on it and that will tell you if the valves are bad. or take it to a shop it only takes about 20 mins to do so should be pretty cheap. does it have alot of hours on it? if ya do a valve job, get a full exhaust, and some decent shocks. if they valves are bad chances are it needs new rings as well.

yeahh, i have a full exhaust on it. but i will get it checked
