V8 Superbike drag racing (http://www.dpccars.com/motorcycle-11/01-26-11page-V8-Superbike-drag-racing.htm)

The V8 engine has so much torque it burns out the entire length of the track.

It looked like he was trying to do a track long burnout. He started all the way to the right side of the lane. Way out of the groove.

needs some type of traction control or a better suspension set up or a better rider to put the power to the ground. Almost any bone stock 1000cc sport bike made in the last decade will lay down better times than that.

nope not even close. try high 10s. and a 2001 bone stock 1000 will be lucky to hit mid 11s

obviously people who buy these things dont want to have fast runs but rather show off a goofy bike for unknown reasons. heck any modern 1000cc bikes can beat most $500,000+ cars lol. power to weight ratio is a ******.

Dont know what bikes you ride or how you ride. But a good rider can easily make it to the high nines-low tens on a "stock"ish"" 1000cc bike. I ran a best of 9.96 on my 02' 954 with no power mods except a full micron exhaust. AND I ran a best of 10.2 on my 01 gsxr750 but that had a few things done to the motor but still nothing major. I have a few friends with 929's that run consistent mid 10's. Even have a buddy with an rc51 that runs 10.9's and thats a freakn v twin. If your hitting mid 11's on any newer type of sport bike you arent doing something right. Any 1000cc bike made in the last decade should be able to at least hit mid 10's with a good rider and low 10's with minimal work and a good rider.

Just got to keep working at it, The start is the most important part of drag racing. On an 07 r6 you will be able to make it into the mid to high tens after a good amount of practice. A 600cc compared to a 1000cc bike is still a pretty big difference though, your r6 makes around 106hp at the rear wheel while the same year r1 makes around 165hp at the rear wheel. Thats over 50% horsepower difference with just an extra 400cc's.
