rippin up on banshees

so took the good ol 525 down to the dunes this weekend , just put an hmf exhaust on there and let me tell you big difference , i have a 2006 banshee and took them head to head with a buddy riding it and the ktm held a good 2 bike length lead the whole beach.

What's done to the shee? Just curious.

Actually not much done to the shee. Port and polish bored over once. Wiesco pistons .weld crank .cool heads . T5s . Nothin really just small stuff but I'm a 2 stroke believer by heart so the Ktm surprised me

A banshee with a pipe is not much of a concern... but a ported banshee if setup right can be touht to beat.

My nephew's Banshee is set up similar, bored over, ported, single carb, Toomeys.....And I get him out in the fields by a couple quads at least from start to end always. However mine is a stock 2002 520EXC in a 400EX frame. What we found out later that his stock gearing and 20" tires match the same gearing (when we shift) as mine with 15/38 gearing with 18" tires through all 6 gears. I can't remember his drag times in the 1/8 miles but its fast and seems it tops maybe 85 mph? Would love to get mine check in the 1/8 and top speed with 20" on the rear.
