mod 660 wont start

I am hoping you all can help me out. I am looking at an 01 660, I am aware of the tranny issues,,,besides that, it has a fresh rebuild, hot cam, high comp piston, edelbroc carb/intake....according to the owner, it was put together, and started...then he started to mess with the air/fuel screw on the new carb,,,it stalled and now he can not get it started. The motor turns over, has spark...carb issue or something more.

I forgot to add that he had the stock carb..should I put the stock on back on and see what happens, or does someone on here have some settings for me to try?
