ok soo ive been riding alot lately.. and ive been riding wheelies and i shift without using the clutch while riding wheelies. When i first did it sounded kinda rough and used a little throttle but now when i do it, its smooth and dont use any throttle. Is it bad for the transmission at all? just dont feel like having to rebuild the bottom end from doing some wheelies.

im pretty sure as long as you dont grind the gears you should be fine

you are likely to do more damage with the wheelie than with the shifting.

Remember. 250x/300ex has the oil pump and pickup at the front of the motor. While you are doing a wheelie the oil goes to the back. Short wheelies are fine but long ones will starve the engine of oil.

just don't force the gears and keep it smooth. Most you are likely to do is bend a shifting fork.

I did a 4.3 mile wheelie in my old 300 and i used to wheelie it all the time with no trouble of oil starvation.... only thing is that if I put it on the grab bar and did a burnout it would start blasting black smoke out of the exhaust..
