View Full Version : overheating?
My 450r blew a head gasket and was overheating, so i replaced the gasket. However, it still overheats (i think). After idling for about 5 minutes steam starts coming out of the radiator cap. Also, i dont know if this means anything, but the hose connected to the bottom of the radiator going to the waterpump gets really hard. Any ideas? Im hoping to get a temperature gun soon so i can see how hot it is getting, which brings me to one more question haha. How hot are these motors supposed to get?

are there any more symptoms?? coolant mixing with oil??white smoke?
could be cracked cylinder, bad water pump, warped head,
Coolant is not mixing with oil anymore since we replaced the head gasket. The cylinder looked fine and the head did not look warped, i did not measure it though.
