frame question?

im thinkin' about buying a powder coated frame i found on ebay but it's for a '04ex & i have a '06ex... would everything match up?

I did the opposite swap from a 2000 machine to a 2006 frame.

Slight differences going to an older frame in your case.

- No front headlight brackets built into the frame
- No bracket, or bracket mounting holes for electrical connectors in the frame up front. Electrical connectors and CDI box mount to built-in frame tabs instead.
- Wiring harness is slightly different b/t the two, so the routing of your wires and location will be slightly different, but doable.
- Something is different on the 2005 and up subframes. I'm not sure what though since I reused my 2000 subframe.
- There's a small tab welded to the frame next to the tab for the front brake line T-block on the 2005 and up machines. It is not there on 2004 and older frames.
- All the other major parts and components bolt up the same.
- Could be other small things i'm leaving out, this is the best I can remember but I believe I covered most of it.
