05 vw jetta help

my sister's trunk on her 05 jetta ont close. every time i slam it it bounces back up, and when it does latch, the light inside still says its open and clicker wont work. we tryed adjusting the pin that the latch catches, but no luck. any help?

It probably needs a new latch/cable if the one you have now you tried to adjust and it wont do anything. Not much else you can do.
