ok so i just got up this morning and went and got me a fresh can of copenhagen..... i got in in truck and started to open it and realized that it was in a plastic can instead of the traditional 1822 style cardboard can..... really pisses me off! sorry had to rant a little bit this morning, has anyone else noticed this?

heck even over the summer strait was hit and miss from cardboard to plastic. wintergreens been in plastic for a while.

Ive never seen cope long cut in a plastic can, havent seen cope fine cut in a can either. All the others though like wintergreen, straight, burbon, whiskey and extra long cut come in plastic cans

Haha thats weird just thinking about it, I have been chewing for about 10 years now, copenhagen long has always been my favorite (sometimes I like some skoal long cut too). I have never seen cope long or fine in a plastic can, that would be weird lol

im a wintergreen guy and i usually buy a long roll when i do, guess they made the change from cardboard to plastic since i bought my last roll, guess ill just have to pile the cans on the back of my truck instead of throwin em out the window money since they aint as earth friendly, i enjoy a good can a long cut every now and then but at 4.29 a can they are few and far between

Never would have thought they'd put Cope in plastic cans. But then again I haven't had a can since I quit cold turkey just a little over a year ago on 1-8-10, after chewing for 25 years.

I noticed it last week. The change of cans didn't change the taste so I didn't mind too much.

I love chewing. It doesnt really have that addictive side to it as much as cigarettes. I have quit many times but I always go back to it. I just like it more for the flavor and I like to spit, and copenhagen just taste amazing, especially when out riding or doing anything really. Its pretty gross though what it does to your mouth in the long run, my gums have already receded from chewing the past 10 years.

what do you all do when you get a can that is too dry? ive heard you can put a little bit of whiskey in it and that will do the trick... started dipping to quit smoking, now i just do both... not good.

Putting whiskey in it wouldnt do anything but make it taste like whiskey, whiskey and snuff is a bad combo. Put it in the fridge or freezer for awhile.

Skoal straight all the way. I usually don't have a problem with it going dry I love the stuff. Out off all the chew I have had over the years skoal straight seems to be the easiest to gut which I only do at work cause my boss ain't much for all the spittting haha

I pretty much always gut it and I've been doing it for a long time, you gotta watch though cuz that's real dangerous. I know a guy that developed a stomach ulcer from that and ended up getting half of his stomach cut out. He still chews to this day though lol. I started gutting it in high school so I wouldn't get caught in class, it ended up becoming second nature and now I don't realize I even do it.

im a skoal straight guy my self and the gas station in town ran out and the lady talked me into buying "cope" not copenhagen straight long cut because thats the only straight they had and it was only 2 something a can so i was like hell why not. Well i think they buy a lot of tobacco from long horn or kayak and put it in there can and let it set for years.

1. it was dry as dust
2. it had the cheapest taste to it

"copenhagen" straight isn't bad its pretty close to skoal.


also to the guy that asked if its dry what to do. when i was in highschool we tested every method and if your chewing copenhagen snuff adding a little bit(2 to 3 drops) of coors light to it made the best tasting chew ever.
