Not really:p I told the family they could take the day off (no firewood cutting/hauling/splitting etc) So Cody has been hunting all day, cleanin' squirrels all evening and just rolled out to try and shoot some foxes at night.

I stayed at the lathe all day and turned out a few calls.

Predator call made from Cocobolo

Question Pappy. Are squirrels really thast popular? Was watching CMT last night, redneck wedding and thats all they talked about. I'm orgionally from northern Alamaba (Roll Tide) and no one I know ate em and I'm from the country. Nothing but farms all around.

Also I could use a wine bottle corks for the lady. Saw them in one of your other posts. PM me with some info if you have one.

Yeah they are popular and pretty tasty if prepared right. They taste like dark chicken meat.

A wine stopper? They run $25 to $35 depending on the wood with an all stainless steel stopper

Looks good as always. I tried the lathe in wood shop and couldn't turn anything to save my life. But I can make anything else! lol:p

I built this entertainment center in our living room 2 years ago. It has doors for the front with smoked glass but the remotes to the DVD and DirecTV don't work with them.

It's all solid Oak and HEAVY. Lost all my pictures of it empty.

I'd love to be able to that. Zerologic makes some killer stuff here as well...and Rich (forgot his username) does that stuff for a living, amazing stuff.

I drove a semi for a furniture company for awhile. They handmade all sorts of stuff, really high dollar. On days when I did not have a run i could opt to work in the shop...sanding...by hand:p I really enjoyed it but there wasnt a chance to learn how to build the stuff.

Now that I'm out of high school I don't really have access to a wood shop so haven't done much lately. I love wood work, hope to start buying bits and pieces to get a wood shop together. It's definitely one of my favorite past times other than riding of course. :D

Im into woodworking as well, but without a woodworking shop its kinda tough. Back in HS I made all manner of things on the lathe and people honestly ask me where I bought the stuff. Specially these 2 tables I made of poplar (didnt have enough oak to make the tables in the shop and poplar stained right looks like oak).

I miss making furniture and stuff, but the amount of power tools I would need is $$, as Pappy im sure knows-you dont buy cheap woodworking tools. Course I need the space to make it too, shops to small for multiple machines.

My fav project of all time was this bowl I made out out flat wood back in middle school. You take a multiple strips of wood about 1" wide and glue them together to make a flatboard. Then draw circles set 1in apart over the entire thing. Then take the bandsaw and set it at a 45 degrees angle and cut. You then glue it all together, turn it on a lathe and bingo you got a bowl.

Great looking stuff Ken.

When you're to mass produce, send me a few samples and I'll bring them to a local hunting and fishing store and see if they'd be interested in distributing them.

Pappy
