There is an adjustment on the perch and one down by the actuator arm (a bracket attached to the engine cover)...

When you put in a new clutch you usually need to adjust the cable to take the slack out of it... If it's not that then you must have put the springs and pressure plate in wrong. Make sure the thrust washer and needle bearings are seated in the pressure plate and on the plunger and not getting hung up. Also make sure the judderspring/seat isn't hung up on the friction disc (the skinny one).

It has to be that unless you have a lot of extra parts on the work bench.

It Might just be a friction plate problem
check how thick they are compared to the old ones

you checked the arm to make sue the pushrod isnt under it??

i checked the arm and the push rod was under it so i put it back down then put the push rod back in and when i tighten the plates in there and pull the clutch once, the arm pops up and the push rod goes back under it. i pulled the arm and rod out and they dont seem to be worn down, anyone know why this could be happening?

there is a groove in the arm that the pushrod rides in, the arm should be about 1/8-1/4" up. to tell if its working, put the rod in with the arm all the way down, then pick the arm up lightly and the rod should push in a little when its in the groove, then just put the bearing on the end of the rod and pull the clutch to see if there is movement

you have to release the tension before inserting into the cylinder or you will stretch the cam chain.... you have to remove the end bolt and turn clockwise to loosen with a small flat blade when you remove the screw driver it will tighten up the push rod ....

just a guess you dont have a service manual????

i do have the service manual but it just says how to take it out and put it back in, nothing about taking the tension off of itbut i got it now thanks
