i have an 08 ltr with no airbox lid, uni filter, and a cherry bomb, and stock exhaust and i am thinking about getting a DASA pipe. my question is would it run fine with only the cherry bomb or would i need to get a power commander or something like that?
Thanks

I don't know about a dasa but the yoshi rs5 full system runs fine with just the cherry bomb. Mines for sale if your interested.

cherry bomb is suffecient enough for all pipes unless its a drag pipe

Ok, thanks that was what I was hoping for cause $500 bucks is a lot for me to spend on a pipe i really didnt want to have to fork over another 200 for a controller. I think i will go with either a DASA or a Curtis Sparks.

both of them pipes make good power unfortunately they also are riveted together like most pipes and make it a pain to repack them rivets cant be bought at any hardware store

I am still undecided on which exhaust i should get. I ride the track for fun and ride dunes. i plan on only using the cherry bomb with a open airbox, and a uni filter. im sure i cant go wrong with any of them but i would like to hear what everyone likes best.

here are my choices to pick from.

Dasa
Curtis Sparks
HMF Sport--not sure if i want a full or slip on.
Rossier

don't count out terry design concepts. lots of talk of it on "another" forum; said to make very slighty better power than the dasa... and they have a group buy for $400 going on right now.

i just looked them up, they look pretty cool, kinda look similar to the fmf imo. They sound pretty good on the internet, i will keep them in mind.

rode a honda 450r thats got the motoxperts pipe and it seemed to be good quality, the guy races and he has two fully built 450rs with them pipes. he swears by them. i say sparks or hmf, tdc is good to i hear and the motoworks pipes are good too.

check with curtis sparks racing i got my full big core pipe for 275 shipped because it was refurbished. it had a broken weld they ground off and re-welded. it was a bran new re-polished repacked no dents not even a scratch or a bit of carbon on it. i thaught it was bran new. :eek2: cheap as hell the pipe retails at like $650.....

my dad has an 07 ltr with a full hmf exhaust. he loves it. very torquey and pulls hard. more of a low to mid pipe. we ride the dunes mostly and he loves it. i have an 08 ltr with a two bros full exhaust. this one is louder than the hmf and has more top end but less on the bottom. i like both pipes though. good luck

i am still leaning more towards a sparks, hmf, or dasa, but i am also curious about the pro circuit t4. anyone tried this? slip on or full system. is it a good pipe for the ltr?
