Hey guys, I am consider a 12:1 426 setup in my future, and my problem is that i can't find anywhere to get high octane. So, can you use the additives to achieve the 100+ octane.

I personally would never run any fuel additives in a quad or bike.
You could run 11:1 on pump gas or just go like 12:1 or 12.5:1 and run race gas, Or Run something like the sunoco 260GT which is 100 octane or 260GT plus which is 104.

agreed even though they state an incrase of 3 or 4 octane ratings its all garbage. You might get 1 octane rating at most.

your only other option is look for racing distributers who sell VP U4 or something similar. If you find a dealer you can buy it by the pale and just stock up on it.

Some of the WERA (road racing) guys run it, you should be able to find a dealer in your area.

Just know once you open the pale you only have a few weeks before it will start to gel and it will do the same thing in your carb and tank. So you might want to look into running a 50/50 mix of 93 or 94 octane and some U4.

Here is a distrib for missouri

Call up local tracks, they usually sell it for a decent price. Then mix 50/50 with 93 octane or so.

Any dirt track in missouri will sell sunoco 112 octane. Thats how I get mine in Illinois last time I got it i think i paid 6.50 a gallon, and it doesn't go bad as long as you keep it out of sunlight.

yeah that sunoco is all over here in llinois. also, you can find a smaller airport and get 110LL which is lightly leaded 110 octane.

i mix that with 87 and have good results, but i'm only 11:1
