300ex more power

i currently have a 250x and the rev limiter kicks in way to early no time to accelerate what so ever... so i need a rev limiter what brand you guys recomend? i ran a curtis sparks for years on my first 300ex did great but the quad i long gone and i cant find a half decent limiter... maybe you guys have one? also motor has a 1 over 12:1 wiseco piston, what would give me a little more hp out of this bike, maybe cam? i run a open air filter (k&n i keep it oiled) a full fmf exhaust, and different sprocket gearing for more torque, i dont need speed... i also have a 400ex carb going on it soon but would motor mods and rev limiter do you guys recommend? let me hear those opinions

I think someone else had this exact same problem a month ago or so. I would serch for it they may have figured out what was wrong.
