i cant decide between a z400 and an EX. i know that i would rather have the Z but what would u have to do to a 400ex to make it as fast and have the power of the z400?

Put a pipe on it,,modify the airbox and rejet..now your a Z spanker...:D

Z's only come with like 2-3 HP more than a 400ex..i still can't figure out why everyone thinks ther power house quads.. I would like ta have the liquid cooling off of them though..

i think of as almost equal. theyre both 400's, but if ur a good enough driver u could maybe win stock vs. stock

i would go with the honda because it has the relabilty and they are sell em cheaper these days so you can put the money you save into mods

I have raced quite a few Z's on the sand. My sig shows what I have done to my quad...I spank Z's all the time - on the sand. I have never raced one off sand.

I would go with an EX!

I would go with the EX because i think they look better and they are more reliable....

id go with the z400 but I'd go with the 400ex becuase its cheaper and you could work it out and it would beat the z400. And you didn't spend no more than what the z400 costs..

When you can buy a 6-12 month old showroom condition used EX for $3000 - $4000 why on earth would you want to chuck $6000+ in a Z?

Heck the even the prices on used Rap's is starting to fall (although '01's should be avoided at all costs..)..

Better off picking up a slightly used EX and modding the snot out of it, or picking up 2 used EX's so you can bring your friend with you.. lol..

remember the z400 axle crap, youll need a new axle before u do anything or it'll bend or break or wutever. no problems with stock 400ex's that ive heard of so theirs nothin to worry about on it.

The Z400 only has one CC bigger than the ex, and it has about 5-10 pounds less dry weight than the ex, and that's why everyone thinks it's a powerhouse quad. Bigger motor, lighter weight.
