This is as close to being a new cam as a "used" cam gets! Less than 1 hour total ride time. 30 minutes to break in the cam exactly according to Hotcam's instructions + 25 minutes more ride time getting the jetting adjusted for the new cam. Broken in with Bel-Ray moly-based assembly lube.
Cam is freshly broken in and you can see in the pics that the black phosphate coating has JUST started to wear off. (supposed to wear off, assisting in break in FYI)
This is a drop in cam for the 400EX that requires no valvetrain modifications to run. There is an explosive mid-top end hit with this cam, it really pulls hard yet still has decent low end power. Think of it as a Hotcam stage 2 on steroids...perfect for the guys with more modified engines.
This is a late summer 2010 production cam. I had to wait for Hotcams to come out with a new "batch" before I received it.
