Anybody know what kind of shifter this is?

My buddy thinks it might be an HRC part... has HB9 stamped on it

Must be to keep your foot from rubbing the stator cover

I got it figured out. I think its so you have a place to tie your shoe laces so your foot it connected for easier up-shifting? You wouldn't have to get your foot under the shifter if your laces were tied to it. Just lift your leg. LOL

Its a governer for the shifter. You put in 1st gear, then put the bike lock on it so it stays in 1st gear. lol.

NO, no, no you got it all wrong. The hoop is for an attachment to let the guy who lost his left leg to shift with his left hand. Some of the paralyzed guys run the shift shaft out the other side but that is alot of work. You gotta have respect for these guys. Most of them lost their legs fighting for our country.

I build hand control adapter parts for legless or people that cannot use their legs at work. The units are secured to the gas and brake pedal. They connect to a rod that pivots in the middle. Twist left for brake and right for gas. The owner only charges half price of what it costs to build these attachments.

I seen a guy down here where i ride with a LTR-450 that was paralyzed from the waist down, and he rode it like it was nothing!! I was truly inspired by him.

At first i thought he was just like anyone else. Until i saw his buddy pick him up and put him on his 450, it was amazing!!

Dam now don't I feel like an *** after making all those cracks! Thats cool though, I have alot of respect for anyone who can tear up an ATV without the use of their legs. Now thats impressive!
