Stupid Question

So I have never took my hood off because I haven't had the need but I was looking in the service manual but it just says "Remove the two bosses from the grommets and remove the top cover by releasing the four tabs". So there are no bolts holding it on u just lift up on side closest to the handlebars and slide off? Any info would be great!

yup just give a quick tug on the top near the bars and lift like the bottom is on a pivot and bring up to about a 45 degree angle and slide it out!!! the bottom is just held in by a overlapping of the to parts

Thanks alot for the info I was sooo scared that I was going to lift up on it and hear it crack!

just be a little careful on the bottom, and to put back on line up the bottom first then swing it down from there like there is a pivot on the bottom!!
