cam question

i have a sparks mx cam in my 450 i was wondering how much more power i would get if i went to a sparks drag cam, mods are in my signature.

I really dont think your overall hp will change much !!just the range of where your usable power is,, and depending on how your head is ported there is a chance you could loose power

I would say it would move your power higher in RPM range. Your peak power may change slightly, but the biggest difference is going to be where the power occurs in the RPM range.

do you think it would help my 200ft drag times by a tenth of a second or so and would it be worth the price on sparks website? im thinking between that cam and a hc3 since im sponsored by them i get a 40% discount on all parts so i can get a good deal.

I don't know for a fact, but I believe I've heard that the Sparks MX and the Hotcam Stg3 were fairly similar.

my sparks cam hits very hard in mid range and pulls all the way to the rev limiter, would i get better power with a dyna ignition since it raises the limiter and would let my motor pull longer?

as far as raising the rev limit.. I dont know were in the rpm range the drag cam makes its power , however I dont think that the power curve on any production cam is still making power at 10000 rpms
