I had this problem for a while and it bothers me that I don't know how to fix it. The video sums it mostly up but where the powerbomb header and the midpipe connect, it is loose and causes the one pipe to hit against the other one. I tried putting a clamp there but it dont work. Ill post a picture if the videos dont work. The second video shows it running and making the rattling noise.
- I got told to put high tense silicone on it but is that correct?

Tell me if the videos work or not because I do all this on my iPod

The videos dont work, but the hole will make it sound like a rattle.

The inners of the exhaust might have come apart and be rattling in there also.

Bolts may be loose?

I would do some investigating to find out then go from there.

Try to get the vid working.

Ok thank but i know the bolts arent loose and when I push the canister toward the frame more, it will stop rattling. And I think the video links work now.

I dont know what that piece is your sliding back and fourth, mine doesnt have anything like that, take it off.......lol.

The part of the pipe were the slits are cut for the clamp to bite down on, I would bend them in slightly closer so that its kinda tough to slide it on. Then clamp it on.

The exhaust can needs a support piece that goes in the empty bolt hole above were the can is cut open, I dont know if you removed it to plug the hole or not? if it was like that it needs one.

deffinetly just JB weld it and paint it.

How would I get that piece off of there? And I know where them slit marks is but your saying to bend the midpipe so it fits on the header better or what?
And I don't think it ever had a support piece on the canister besides the big clamp.

Edit: nah man that piece isn't coming off the pipe. Its on there good and I think it needs to be there for a clamp of some sort.

I think you need to get the stock clamp that came on the bike originally, it has a tab on it to keep it from sliding off.

The stock clamp for the part that slides out on the midpipe?
why's my powerbomb different than other peoples? Do I have a stock midpipe or something?

Edit: Here is another video of when I have it back together

Sorry, I missed the powerbomb, thought it was a stock header.

Nah its fine. I just need to figure out why this thing is rattling or what parts I'm missing. I might be missing the clamp to the midpipe cause I just found one but it dont fit down in the part. I just put it over it to try and hold te piece out.

It looks just like the end of a stock header. I would have someone tack weld that piece you're talking about moving back and forth, then use a stock clamp.

Yeah but wouldn't I need that piece out and then I can put a small clamp in that gap to cause it to not go back in?

Ok cool thanks! Mine just has the header and it's hooked up to the canister. I might have touse a radiator clamp or one of them compressional clamps. Wonder why mines different?
