We've got stuff done from ATP(which specializes in Ltr) and victory Motorsports.

Walsh built my ltr and it rips. mike bard is over there doing the work. and they have top of the line machines/flowbench and are putting down great numbers.

Cant go wrong with rage either, dee is a awesome guy

Cycle Works Racing built mine... ive had several 450s built by top names but this is my fastest one yet.

its a smaller shop so you deal directly with greg the owner and he cares if you have a deadline. the first time i took my engine to him he went way out of his way to make sure i had it back in time for the next race.

Moto-X-Perts is doing mine this season. I recently went to his shop to see some new things he was doing, and this motor should rip! Their shop is top of the line and Toby Reed is very knowledgable and professional.

Titan Motorworks. Really reasonable. He built me a motor that lasted 2 seasons. Since then hes built some very powerful LTR motors with great luck! He specializes in LTR engines. Give Joe a call at (618) 315 5124. Tell him Chris sent you.

We have used a number of the "BIG" names listed, and have found a better alternative, SWP in mt pleasant mi. built our motors last year, and is doing our whole teams bikes this year. Jake works harder then anyone I have ever met to give you exactly the type of motor you need. He is timely, and his prices are great. his # is 989-621-2521

i mean i dont have a ton to spend but i mean i wanna be competitive i have a 06 trx450 with brand new hot rods crank, 13.5 to 1 compression with smaller gaskets so 14:1 compession total and +2 kibble white valves w/ springs ect. with a hot cam, mild port job k and n with a hmf exhaust and i ride pro class and it worked great but alot of the guys i run against with ltrs have big bore kits and they seem to like it, now im riding a ltr for the 2011 season and its power spead is way diffrent i think its like a 2 stroke gotta have it rung out to make good power but when u have it whinning it goes good. but i dont no what to do?

thanks

Depends on what kind of racing you are doing, and what the rules entail. Id keep it a 450 for reliability. A good port and polish, cams, piston, decked head. You will have more than enough easy to use power.

walsh is building SICK motors, mike walsh and bard are doing top notch work there. also modded motorsports builds really fast reliable motors, has many top runners in the B classes at nationals. his name is Steve in st.petersburg FL

I agree modded motorsports has some of the fastest motors on the east coast. I have been with Modded for 4 years now and i have only blowin 1 motor due to a bad cam chain which made the motor jump time and go "ka boom"!!!!

I have a yosh motor and am very impressed with it. I did not go to crazy with it, just port and polish and a valve job, but I have noticed a big difference. They definetly know what they are doing. Can't really compare it to much since this is my first built motor, but it has plenty of power for me. I would recommend them.

I build my own. My current engine(LTR) is a 493, stock stroke. If i were you, I would only use trued OEM or Falicon cranks. I use Bo White for head porting and valve work. Walsh or Rage are damn good builders if you want to use them.
