ok so I live in IN and going to run some harescrambles this year. Probably IXCR and whatever i can find. I have a Dodge charger and was gonna buy a small utility trailer to pull my quad around t races and to the badlands. I know the car will tow 1 quad on a little trailer with ease. my question is that it seems in some of the pics of the races everyone is parking in a muddy field. seen some pics of vehicles hung up. I wont be takin the charger through a swamp for a race. is it alwasy like that.or are there parking areas. I've seen some pretty bad stuff and not gonna jack my car up

I have to watch the weather like a hawk when covering the GNCC events (any HS really). I try and take my car (better fuel milage) but the parking at these events are usually a field...add rain = one friggon mess. When they start yanking out 4x4 trucks, your 2 wheel drive car doesnt stand a chance!

And they arent always able to pull you out nicely!

The two wheel drive Ford was the smartest out of the bunch. I'm sure he didn't have 300 pounds of mud under his fenders.:p

Your not the only one.

I went mudding years ago and still have mud falling off after washing it like 50x with a pressure washer among other things.

It was pretty hairy, someone did hit the gate and busted the post clean off. The dodge dually with the 5th wheel was bad a**

In situations like that it would be nice to have control over your wheels like a tractor with left and right side brakes. And traction control is not the same. A little tap of the brake here and there can do wonders.

dude **** traction control on newer cars... its to good... it kicks my car out of race mode... cuz of ice and stuff and drops the rpm's....

I have a car with traction control and I also live on a farm and have many different tractors and I am telling you traction control is good but being able to control it yourself is good also. You said it yourself "Traction Control is To Good", traction control kicks in as soon as the wheels break traction. Wheels spinning is not always bad in certain situations as long at you know when to control it and not necessarily stop it and you can steer using the brakes. Traction control in cars is a good thing to an extent just like ABS. I have cars and trucks that have and don't have it and I feel I have more control without it especially on the ABS.
