I know questions about 04/05 and 06+ will go on for all eternity but, I'm getting ready to do the 04/05mswap over to an 08. My question is will the front brake calipers (on the 08) bolt on to the o4 spindles I'm about to give it? (I'm trying my best to NOT have to bleed front brakes)

Yes, they will bolt up.

The brakes will fit on the spindle but you have to use the 04-05 hubs. I'm doing the same thing right now.

Yeah Im doing a whole "operation upgrade" I've been on my 04 for quite sometime now (since 06) so its time to renew a little bit.

While were on this subject. I hope I'm correct here but my nerf bars and axle from my 04 will also fit on my new one (08) correct?

If the nerfs mount up to the motor mounts, then no. If they loop around the frame rail, then yes. The axle will swap over.

I have the Pro Armour that actually bolt up to the bottom a arm mount so sounds like Im ok with those.

Yeah, you're good. The location of the motor mounts changed slightly between the years.

are you sure that you don't have to use the a arms also? i'm hearing conflicting answers from other guys. someoene told me that you have to use a 04/05 upper a arm.

just trying to clear things up since i will be doing the same conversion very soon.

If you are sticking with stock arms, then yes. You will need the 04/05 upper arms as well. The 06+ upper arms are a different length, and will throw your camber out of wack with 04/05 spindles. If you are using aftermarket 06+ arms with camber adjustment, you can usually get enough adjustment out of them to correct the camber issue. Bottom arms are the same on all years.

Yeah. I have the entire front end of my 04 (still attaced to the quad) I'm going to use all of it on the new one but if the brake calipers were going to be the same there was no need in switching those.

There's enough adjustment in the threads to swap them. I'd be willing to bet they are same length.
