450R Exhaust

I recently bought a 2007 TRX450R and i am going to replace the exhaust. I am in a toss up between yoshimura, motoworks, and dasa. What pipe will give me the most performance and not rob HP?

Do you know what advantages the Joe Byrd edition has over the classic? Is it worth the extra money?

that's what i thought. i was reading and that's all i found. i didnt know if there were any other advantages or not. if i'm going to race nationals do i need the 96db pipe to be legal?

I went with Terry Design Concepts pipe. Dustin can build you pipe with resonator (pretty much the same as Byrd's) and it'll be quieter - 96 dbs. TDC pipes have more bottom end than Dasa and better throttle response. Dasa tuned their resonated pipes to have same bottom end while TDC tuned it for a some more low-end. Also if you read more about TDC you'll find they are doing some things to make sure there are no restrictions inside the pipe.
That's why I went with them. Hope you'll be happy with your new pipe whichever you choose.
I think you need to be under 96 dbs to pass sound check.

Sparks exhausts are loud! My Joe Byrd Dasa was 96.3 db, and I've head good about the Terry Design Concepts also

i bought the big gun evo R and it came with a set up that put it at 96db

My friend has a Sparks on his wheeler and it is way loud but the bike has def got some get up.

Sparks is way too loud in my opinion. I have a pipe thats built a lot like ct's (megaphone type) it gave me pretty good bottom to mid but where it really shines is on top end!

HE has a regular core and a big core. dont know if theirs a soumd diff. I had a sparks big core on my 400ex and it was loud

Sparks said they would custom build a quieter silencer for me for th same price. The core would be smaller. I am not sure what this will do to the performance, but it sounded like they would send the same jet kit.
