Check LSR. I think they had cheaper joints. I ran into this a few years back and can't remember where I saw them. Check LSR's page and I'll do some searching as well.....

American Star has them too

Ball Joints (http://www.amstarmanufacturing.com/BallJoints.html)

LSR use to have them so you can only buy one but it appears that you have to buy all 4.

Give Burgard a call..they might cut you a deal? Talk to Izzy he has hooked me up before.

Call ASR. They let me order just 2 for my Roll arms last summer. They have other sizes too.

Man, if someone could verify if the Volkswagen ones worked that would be awesome.

The ball joint are from a 71 super beetle

I hope they didn't upgrade to something bigger as Izzy mentioned and the 71 beetle joints are smaller. My Arms shoudl be here sometime this week or next. I'll check to see what the difference is between the beetle joints and their new ones.

It's not a ball joint from a super beetle but it's a tie rod end they use.

I looked up ball joint and that definatly wasn't it. now when you look at the bettle's front end setup there are a bunch of different tie rod ends. Ihope they are all the same size! If not then it gives us a variety to choose from.

I'll do more searching

skippy1999 is right on. I have the box for mine beside me. Definately part # ES419R. The R is the most important part because that denotes right hand threads. If you have an option, get the TRW brand. I have been dealing in old VW's for over 15 years and the TRW brand is affordable and great quality. I have burgard +2 arms and these VW tie rod ends screw right into the arm-no issues. When I got mine at advanced, I had them look up a 1971 Super Beetle. Make sure you get tie rod ends and not ball joints. VW ball joints do not have any treads.

Thats funny, I did this cheap fix 15 years ago when I was Like 18 for my buddies 87 TRX 250r. He had the Ball Joint break in about 3rd gear leavin camp when we were at Glamis. It had to be the funniest wreck of the whole trip!! I looked over just in time to see him in mid air the bike going one way and him flyin like superman the other way! I was almost cryin I was laughing so hard!!! lol! Anyway thats a great way to replace ball joints cheap!!!!
