Just google port and polish head and you will find all the info you will ever need. The nitty gritty info will come from car engine builders but it all translates.

there is a lot more to it than just "hoging it out" if you whant the right power and want it to run right going to far can even cause a loss in power. Its more were you port that matters. if you port you should run a stage 2 Hotcam or even just a HRC cam.

Hahaha i love the term "hogging it out" makes me laugh. i can see someone taking that info and using it when porting their own head.

Darn looks like I need to go buy another head. Just finished "hogging" my head out thanks for the bad advice hahaha

You can port it yourself, just take little bits at a time and keep it even. Start with 2 mm larger (overall) on the intake and 3mm larger (overall) on the exhaust. Smooth out with you think will slow flow down but don't take off anything that weaken the guides. My suggestion is look around online and find all the pictures you can of ported 450r heads and make it look like them. If your not sure, just lay out the money and have it done.
