I have a 2007 ER with a DG slip on, Airbox lid removed. I have a 172 main jet, and NVCQ needle. I had the needle in the middle clip, but I have a awful bog on low end, it will kill the engine. Im gonna bump to a 45 or 48 pilot jet. Should I raise the clip or lower it? I think it is lean on the bottom. I also have a 55 leek jet. 1500 feet above sea level. mixture screw out 2.5 turns.

you do the fcr AP mod?

I know the link is the bike, but same procedure applies.

if the bog is comming right off idle then it is in the acc. pump circuit, use a 42-45 pilot too, 48 is too big... try changing the leak jet to a 55 and do the acc. pump mod as long as it not like the new fcr-MX carbs, i know the 08 have the newer style carb with a different acc. pump setup, youll be able to tell when you get yours apart and compare with the instructions from midwi

Thanks are you sure you dont have a torn boot or an air leak???? your setup isnt that bad that it would stall!!

I have a 07r, full exhaust,uni filter, lid off. I run 168 clip on the 4th,55 leak,48 pilot.A/S out 1 3/4 turns. And adjusted the acc. pump alittle. Runs perfect.I ride sea level to about 2500ft.

Thanks, I never thought about the air boot leak. I will check that for sure.
