2009 + YFZ 450R Front Shocks on 400EX

I could get a set of 2010 YFZ 450R (the new one) stock KYB shocks for dirt cheap and the guy told me they were 16 1/4 inch long eye to eye and I know that is real close to 400ex lenght and I searched the hole internet trying to know if they are any differences from the old yfz shocks that would make them not fit but I found none.

anyone knows if they would not fit ??

Nope, they are way too long, the yfzr shocks are about 18.2 and stock ex shocks are 16.25, the regular yfz shocks do work though.

Well this is exacly what I told him that I found info on YFZ450R shocks that were 18.2 inch long and he swere to me that they were 16 1/4 inch long the ones he had..

Maybe he miss-messed some parts and they are older yfz shocks but anyways at 16 1/4 inch they should fit whatever they are..

Is it possible the shocks are from a '10/11 YFZ450X? That would explain the shorter shock length.
