I can buy a 2008 YFZ or a 2008 DS450x for same price

I have the opportunity to either buy a 2008 YFZ with a Pro Circuit Pipe, nerf bars, front bumber, rear grab bar, and i think a few other mods or a stock 2008 DS450x for the exact same price.

The owner of the DS doesn't seem to know about any of the service bulletins, so I doubt they have been done.

Any opinions on which one to buy would be appreciative.

Can-am's are junk. clutch issues, bottom end noise, frames are junk, electrical issues. Couldn't pay me to ride one.

Coming from someone who has put two full season's on each machine get a YFZ the Can Am is a NightMARE! All sorts of crazy issues. Example clutch plates break and the fragments have to go somewhere so they settle down around the crank guess what happens next before you even know anything has happened your dead in the water!

YFZ do have temperamental issues along with about anything but good maintenance and you should be just fine!

go with the 08 yfz can ams didnt get all there problems fixed till late 09 from wut i understand the late 09s is a totally redefined machine compared to the 08s im just going by wut ds riders have said i dont have one or know anyone who does but have heard nothing but bad about the 08 ds

yfz!! i just got rid of my 08 ds with tons of extras for a stock yfz with a pipe.. if you wanna work on the ds 95 percent of the time get that lmao
