My daughter will race a Raptor 125 this season in our local XC series. I want to get her suspension set up well and need to know about the shocks.

Are the shocks(front and rear) for the Raptor 125 the same as for a Raptor 250?

There are very limited listings for the Raptor 125 so I wondered if I could just get shocks for a Raptor 250 for her weight and that be the correct shock?

I believe Raptor 250 fronts measure about 13 7/8" eye to eye. Not sure on the rear. Post up in the Raptor 250 section and you will get the answers on shock length that you will need. ALso need to know how wide the mount locations are where the bolt goes thru. Post pics when you get it finished.

Front end on both bikes the same . Shocks, arms all of it. If you ever question your self just look up the parts. There is alot that can be switched. nerf bumpers skids.

Thanks, what about the rear shocks?

Answered my own question, part numbers are the same for the rear shocks on the Yamaha parts catalog.

Just bought a set of HLS shocks from GT Thunder for the front of my Raptor 125. Didn't want to spring for the rear right now. I'll post some pics when they are in and mounted.

Go to Raptor section and find SNOX 139. Hehas two of the top notch Raptors with the best of everything. He knows every little quirk about these quads and his work well.

He may take a while to get back as he races snocross on the NAT SERIES BUT HE KNOWS WHAT WORKS.

GOOD LUCK.

Nice pic. Did the front end lower much after installing the DRR shocks or did the ride height stay about the same.

My son has a 125 raptor and has custom axis long travel shocks, with ASR +3 up 1 A-Arms, and a fox podium rear shock. Everything bolted right on perfectly. Anybody know where to get a exhaugst for it???

I saw on FMF's site, they have two of them and powerbomb header also. I'd like to see some photos of that set up.

These shocks seem very good. My daughter has only ridden them a little and she likes them so far. These are HLS shocks, built by Laz Sommers and if you know anything about the way Laz builds shocks, you know these are soft, very soft. Too soft to integrate well with the stiff rear shock. I thought about buying a new rear, but didn't want to spend the $$$. I had several old shocks laying around so I decided to take the Raptor rear off to see if I could replace the spring and get a satisfactory result. Well I did just that. I ended up using the main spring from a set of Raptor 700 shocks that Wiigstyle built for me a couple years ago. That spring was a little short, but I added the aluminum divider that goes between springs on a two spring setup and with the adjustment on the shock body was able to make it work really well.

This new newly sprung shock is a good bit softer than the stock spring and it seems to pair well with the HLS fronts. My girl only got to take it around the yard, but came back all smiles. I'll know more after a longer ride, but this seems to be the ticket for a cheap rear shock. BTW the rear shock is a gas immersion style, just like the HLS shocks that are on the front.

This is a pic of the swingarm with the rear shock removed. Only reason for this pic is that this rear shock is increadably hard to get on and off. The upper bolt is right below the air box so off came the plastic and the air box and the battery box, no small feat.

This pic is taking the stock spring off the shock. After this I put the phone down and just did the work. All-in-all it took me about 4 hours to make the spring change.

No sorry I don't. All I know is that they worked well for me, Houser ST arms, 250 lb XC racer.

Haven't seen their exhaust, but would like to. If anyone has a pic of the GTT exhaust for the Raptor 125, post up a pic so we can all see.
