what bike? Its more then likely just a normal clutch. Only thing that makes an atv clutch hydraulic is the little slave cylinder down by the actuator. Just take it off and dont crack the line or else you will need to re-bleed it.

my outlaw. Ive never done clutch plates before but from time to time when i let off the clutch in second it makes this grinding noise. its odd. so im figuring i need to replace my plates. But i just bought it BRAND new two month ago from the dealer :( its a 2010. (and i promise i know how to use my clutch :P )

probably a different problem than the clutch plates then. Worn clutch plates dont make a grinding noise they slip (your quad will want to go forward even with the clutch in).
