Hey everyone,

Is there a trick to remove the Spline
bearings from the swingarm ?

I tried a socket from the inside but there's
not enough room for it to sit on the edge
and push it out.

I tried with a long narrow punch but there
doesn't seem to be enough room for it to
grab.

Thanks for the help,

I think the proper term is Needle bearings

I tried using the socket and it just wouldnt push it out so Im taking it to a machine shop tomorrow and let them use their press... Its worth the $25

Yeah, that's probably what I'll end up
doing to make sure I don't ruin anything.

getting tired of these seized things...haha

Take a small punch and sharpen one side so you don't damage the swinarm and get it in between the outside part of the bearing and the swingarm and it will get it out. I beat on mine for 30min's, so i went home to have my dad check it out and he used the method above and got it out in 10 seconds.

Sorry for the language barrier (french here...)

Do you mean just make it pointier ?
or shaping the end of the punch differently ?

yes if you have something like this, make one side more pointy than the other.

Alright, I just took a 17mm Mastercraft
socket with a 10" extention and hammered
them out very easily. (3lb mallet)

I thought the swingarm holes had a ridge
in the middle to stop the bearing from going in too deep.

Realized it's just a cylinder and the ridge
was actually the outside of the bearing...

At first I was trying to punch between
the race and the outside of the bearing
and that's why it wouldn't grip.

once u get the collars out, you should be able to just drive the needle bearings out with several size sockets.

did you already get your collars removed?

Yeah everything is out,

I just put the socket on the side of the
bearing and hammered it till the collar
and bearing came out.

Thanks for the help everyone,
