250x seat

does anybody know if a 400ex seat will fit on a 1987 250x??

A 400ex seat will not fit on 250x fender.A 400ex seat will fit on a 400ex fender. A 400ex fender and seat will fit on a 250x/300ex, if you cut off the front seat mounts on the frame,and reweld them in the same location but to the outside of each frame rail.I have a 400ex rear fender and seat on my 250x.fender looks good,but the seat does'nt match up to the 250x front gas tank area to well.

pic of stock 250x seat mounts welded to outter frame in same location as 250x mount position,just need front fenders now!!!! These mounts are made with new metal and the 250x mounts - the new location of the seat mounts are like a 1/2" higher than the stock 250x mounts.This height ajustment may change when I put on 400ex front fenders.
