exhaust header stuck

I was trying to take off my header on my 400ex today and can't get it off. It is loose but the clamp thing that goes on the bolts only goes half way before it gets stuck on the threads. Is there anyway to get it off without ruining the threads.

are you saying the nuts are siezed on the stud or are the studs bent not letting the hold down come off.

I had the same problem with pulling off the head pipe... I think I got a screwdriver and just pryed at it for a while until it came off

yea my plate on mine got a little bent and was a pain to get it off u just need to try and work it off even and maybe pry it with a breaker bar or big srew driver to get it off. u couls even try some lube on it. when u get it off drill the stud holes a little biger so u wont have this problem again

It looks like the studs are straight but the hold is bent.

Did it mess up the threads on the studs?
