nerfs/heel guards that clear a kicker??

Self explanatory.

Anyone know what heel guards will clear a kicker? I want a full setup if possible (heel guard/nerf/pegs) that has to stand up to XC abuse. I'm also running a WR lever so it's a little longer than the YZ or GYTR.

I have GYTR (older?) heel guards on now, but the kicker side keeps snapping, even after many welds, reinforcements, and gussets :mad:

..or better yet, if you have a yz250 lever you want to sell, let me know :huh

i have 250 kickers but i have been making stubby kickers that clear everything. they are about the same size as a 98 lever. email me for pics. adpella@gmail.com what year wr kicker do you have?

Are they chopped up levers off something else? I was gonna send back an e-mail but my comp crashed >(

For some reason (Probably my rigged up circlip I used), it can be a major pain to kick this thing over, or at least get it to tdc. I don't want something that might be weakened and snap or bend.

Will those clear anything, or are there still certain heel guards I'll need? The fenders aren't an issue, I already hacked them up in a drunken rage one night. :huh

measure from the backside or top of your shaft to your heal guard. i am at 5 3/4 of an ich on these. there not hacked up or welded or anything. there 2007 yz 450 levers that i heat and press into the shape i want. dont know how you could snap it.

if you want i can bend your kicker as well. they look decent but the 07 looks better. you probably have an 04-05 lever

I will def let you know once I get new heel guards. I still have the broken GYTRs on it now, but most of the quad is ripped apart for much needed maintenance and some new parts. guards/pegs/& nerfs haven't been ordered yet.

I'm still debating whether I want another set of metal heel guards or want to try the nets.

Factory 43 nerfs will clear the kick , and last more than everything else.

"chopp124" made me a stubby kicker as well and it clears my Rath nerf / heal-guard and works perfect.
