05 with 08 swing arm?

i have an 05 trx 450r and purchased a 08 take off swing arm shock and linkage to do the update but was wondering what the benifit's and draw backs are like balance, turning and over all handling! I ride all types of terrain from fast woods to open fields and moto cross tracks.

Turning radius is increased slightly. But, the added stability you get in trade off is well worth it.
