are all year bikes the same for nerf bars i was looking at some new ones and they say any year yfz450r and yfz450x was wondering if they would fit an 06

Nope, 04-08 are the same. 09-present are the same. In other words, nerfs for an 08 will fit on 04, 05, 06, 07 & 08.

09 nerfs will fit on 09, 10 & 11.

09 nerfs WILL NOT fit on 04-08 & vise-versa.

2004-2009 STANDARD YFZ's are the same.

2009-present R/X are the same.

They narrowed the frame in 09 so they can't fit, right?

on the "R", yes.

You said 2008 nerfs will NOT fit an 2009, and they wont, IF you have an R. If you have a 2009 STANDARD, they will fit.
