How much do you think my 400ex is worth?

I have a 2002 Honda 400ex it was rebuilt winter of 2010 in February. It’s never been raced only rode on mx track once every week or two weeks. All new bearings were installed and the frame was powdercoated black. Oil changed every 2 or 3 rides. Maier race cut fenders front and rear. Pro taper SE 7/8 bars. Pro design kill switch. Freshly rebuilt top end in July 2010 (new valves and valve seals, Wiseco piston and rings, Hotcams stage 2 cam.) Pro design hi-flo air filter kit. what do you guys think its worth im asking 1800 for it or trade for a 450 but i haven"t gotten anything. I really need to get rid of it i want a 450.

$1800 isn't bad I don't think, might be a bit high but it depends on where you are located and what things are selling for locally. On another note, let see some more pics of the race car in the background! lol

I would look around on cragslist and base it off of that. I got mine for 2000$ and that was a good price for my area.

I paid about 3K for mine, but that was early '08 and the economy hadn't fully tanked yet. Locally I've seen some fairly nice quads selling for cheap, between $1500 and $2000. I prefer to buy stock, unmodified vehicles as well, so the rebuild and the aftermarket parts may be impacting your sale as well. Depends on the buyer. Either way, very nice machine.

Yea i put it mostly all back to stock.. i dont know if any of you remember my rebuild on here last winter but it use to be a full mx with pretty much all aftermarket.

$1500-$2000, if your asking $1800 dont be suprised to get offers in the $1500 range

It sucks. Doesnt matter how much work you do to it or how much money you put into it, there never worth *****! I got all kinds of money into mine but i prob only get 1500. Better off keeping it. Just my opin.

i would keep it but after riding a 450 at the end of the summer thats all i want so i need to sell it. the 400ex was just a learning bike for me now i wanna take it to the next level and build a mx 450.

1800 aint bad...id buy it. but just remember we are only a few weeks out of christmas. everyones broke. when people start getting tax checks things will get better.. i have new 2500 dollar wheels for a 1000 and not a single hit. it will get better. worst case scenario, you end up with a nice 400ex.....

It is worth alot more then what somebody is going to pay you for it.. I would ask alot for mine, prob have no luck selling it. But i know what I have into it, the lil bit I would get for it wouldn't be enough for me.. So I will prob have mine forever..
