01 lt80 starter problem.

What would cause a starter on a 2001 lt80 to turn as if it had a week battery, when it doesn't. then a couple of clicks later it will turn over fine. The wires coming from the start button will actually get hot when it is slow to turn. Then after I get it to run, she will ride it for a while shut it off and then the whole problem starts again. the starter itself is going bad. had the same problem with ours. lol and its real fun to take out.
