i know some of you guys get all pissy when people talk about dirtbikes on here haha :p im considering a yamaha it200 to fix up and get my little brother off black ops! has anyone else on here hadr riden one. ive done some research but are there any common problems? only owned hondas might be the first yami :eek2:

truthfully dont know bikes to well, I do know thumper talk will easily tell you anything you want about that yami tho.

only thing i know about them is a guy once crashed into me on one while trail riding and dented my exhaust.:devil:

The IT 200 engine is basically the same as the blaster 2 stroke so engine parts should not be a problem. A friend of mine had one way back in the 80's and we used to ride together. I rode it a few times and it was not a bad little bike but, nothing I would own. His never had any major problems that i can remember.

If you want a very reliable, low maintaince trail bike, they're great.

My dad had one when he was younger. Basically a blaster motor in a dirt bike chassis. Not blisteringly fast but had some snap and very soft, good woods suspension.

thanks for the info everyone. just looking for a fun little trail bike to beat around on on our property and as a buddy bike.

I have one. Its a good bike, but suspension is old school and it has drum brakes. I'd hold out for a newer bike. Something like a KDX if that's the style bike wanted.
