Freshly built 05 TRX 450r

This quad is a beast! Probably one of the most fun builds I've ever done. Built it for a friend of mine and it turned out pretty nice. There were a lot of people involved in the build and it took @ 4 months to do. His name is Henry and he is almost as hairy as a gorilla...some call him Chewbacca..LOL

3mm HotRods crank balanced and welded at Falicon. CP piston and 98mm Athena big bore cylinder. Head by RAGE and assembled by Rage after all the P/C was done. Rage pipe ceramic coated, triple rate triple adjust Axis all the way around. Lone Star stem, DC 4's, axle, carrier, and swing arm. GT Thunder link, Fuel Customs intake, Sparks 44mm carb, Precision pro stabilizer, FASST bars, Quadtech hood and seat cover, Hiper Tech 3 wheels, Janssen anti fade lock nut, lock out clutch and cover from direct drive.

What model Hood is that from Quad Tech?

I want a white hood, but I freakin' hate these pointy designs, and it looks like that's all they have.


Also what color arrangements is that on the seat? You basically have the same fender/hood/seat setup I want to do, except for the graphics.

That is an older Quadtech hood. It may be 3 or 4 years old, like first generation model ???. The plastics are from an 08 model and we cut the tank cover to fit the 05 tank. The seat that is pictured in the rolling chassis pic is black/silver/black. If you order it from Quadtech that's the combination to order. That seat actually goes on another 450 we are building right now. The black/black/black seat is the seat that belongs to this quad. I like the one with the silver better too...he just didn't want to spend the money on the seat cover yet. Kinda lame after all that other stuff was done, LOL.

It's perfect with him on it. Surprisingly, he can ride it pretty well too.

Direct drive. It is a complete kit. You can get different color lenses too and they have aluminum covers that are cut out in all kinds of cool designs to go over the lens too. I have one for it but it covered it up too much, I wanted the lockout to be visible.

Yeah, I'll have to take it off to do that but, yeah I can do that.

I'll have to do it this weekend. Getting ready for trip to Glamis and I have four quads in my garage now that need attention. Never stops....LOL
