I did a similar thread in the mini section and it was neat to see why riders pick the numbers they do.
I use two 21(was my football number in high school) for flattrack and 721 for xc b/c of course you have to be a pro to be that low, so I added the 7

My son uses 47 4 is Ricky Carmicheal and 7 is for James Stewart

101, because it's a common course designation in college (like English 101), and because I'm about to school you on how we race flattrack in Nevada!

106 because of my kids birthdays being 10-6-03 and 1-30-06, but now I have 7-13-09, which royally screws all up, so i might end up with 369.

I use the number 245 because that's the last 3 digits of the bike I had when I first started racing

All of my two wheelers have 21 on them. That was the number that was on a YZ250 that I bought when I was in high school (25 years ago) :huh, and it kinda stuck. Three of my quads have my last earned GNCC number from back in '05, which is 102. The one 250R still has my GNCC #67 on it, it was a quad I put together specifically for one race years ago and I never changed the number on it.

On dirt bikes it was 13, because Ricky Johnson ran 13 his last 2 years in SX and he was my favorite bike rider.

Quads is always been 11 due to watching Donny "The Bulldog" Banks ride throttle pinned and muscleing that 250R around the track. The day I watched he was running #11 and that awesome Jaws front bumper. So Ive always ran #11 and a Jaws front bumper.

Number 11 because it was easy to make with black tape for my first race. :D

I had 5 as my original number.. (when I rode a Blaster from 99-01).

Then my buddy let me borrow his 250R for a year, and he had #73 on it. I just kept it.

Hence "573"

#86
I used it the few times ive raced my YFZ 450, and always in racing games(especially ATV games).

Since junior high or 12yrs old (im 21 now), i have been hooked on ATC 250rs. I got an 85 atc 250r when i was 13. My uncle had an immaculate 86 ATC. He was who got me hooked on them. I have always said since then if i get another atc, it will be an 86 model cause they look way nicer and it was their final production year here in USA. I knew 86 was also the first year for the trx. I was fascinated by the trx because it is so similar to the ATC. I always planned to get me one,and sure enough i got an 86 trx. Since the quad of the century was started in production in 86, it seem like a good year and always stuck.
Thats why the number 86.

88 because all of the girls I've been with would rather be 8 twice than 69'd once.

Where do you race any flattrack in Nevada? I am from the Mid Atlantic area of the East Coast and you could TT almost every weekend in VA. and N.C. I sold all my good TT stuff before I moved to Nevada. Now all I do is fix flat tires from riding in the desert.

212. that was the day i started dating my ex, she wasnt big in to racing but her dad raced a factory 250x from sparks there was a pro that was suppose to race it and its in a mag somewhere but the pro didnt like the power ban on it.

we broke up but her dad and gramp and uncle all are amazing, her uncle runs 29 in everything he runs a husky in the pro enduro i think. i know hes on a factory team for enduro in wi. also rides with moose. he races cwira on a kx500

and her gramp is in a local shop and is a dyno guy at a local shop.

I was a really bitter break up, but 21210 is when her parents really welcomed me in and i still talk to them all the time. so 212 it is.

Not racing anymore now its all just for fun. #41 The four came from Tim Farr and the one came from me winning an amature championship and so we just added the two with each other and came out with #41
