cam wit sparks advance key?

i have a 00 400ex with a k&n air filter sparks advance key i want to put a cam in it can i run a stage 2 hot cam in the bike with the sparks key

it will be fine to run it with a cam. higher compression is usually what causes problems when running the key. it causes a bit more heat. if on stock compression, the choice of a stage 2 may be a bit of a problem though but it will work perfect.

On a stock bore a stage 2 is a little much imo. You will get just as much if not more out of a stage 1 as the stage 2.
