on the esr web page they have 2 different 330 kits one says the cases needed trenched out then right next to it they have one that says its a bolt on and does not require case machining. whats the difference between the two and does anybody have one or ridin one???? what were the characteristics and is it worth the money???

here is the big difference. The bolt-on requires a 87-89 crank and spacer plate, also it only has 2 overbores. The bad part about the bolt-on is that the sleeve isn't inside the cases, its far cut down to just sit in the spacer plate. I read on this and the other "r" forum about how huge problems can result from the cylinder not sitting inside the cases as the sleeve is much easier to break. I wouldn't get one, I had one, didn't like it. I had heat issues also.

my brother runs the one that doesnt need cases bored, runs very strong, runs around 160 degrees at full running temp, thats after riding it for a while also.
