the 9.5 is a better tire. but if you don't have beadlocks don't bother cause it will fall of the rim very easily

What is it that makes the 9.5 a better tire?

well it depends on how you ride i guess. If you race. and you charge corner hard, and rail the berms and ruts. then they will fall of. the 9.5 corner better. this is just what i heard from other racers. so if you don't wanna take my word for it. don't.

I ride MX a lot and prefere the 9.5 but cant wait to try the new 10 inch MXR tires I just got. I dont run beadlocks and had my tires come off the bead a lot at low pressure. I now run 11 lbs. and dont have any problems.

a 10" wide turf tamer would be perfect. I don't know if I'm gonna go with the 9.5's. The tracks I ride are mostly hardpack dry stuff though.

If you know how to put the hammer down you'll never keep the 9.5 turfs on a non beadlock rim...Heck I've seen them bust beads on beadlocks several times...go with the 11's with standard rims...or you'll be sorry..

I would have to agree with Rico. I've even had trouble with 11's, but it's not the bead blowing off, it's spinning the bead which has damaged more then one tire. If you ride real aggressive, you better just get yourself some beadlocks! It took me too many times to learn.

wouldn't it make more sense to run 9.5s(groved) in sand and losse dirt conditions and 11s on hard packed??

i am in the process of buying some tamers, and i was thinking i will try the 11s first and later on buy some 9.5s and see which ones i like better and try em out on other tracks, sandy, hard packed etc...
