hey guys,

I just picked up a LSR yz hybrid no-link frame, what are my options for motors. obviously the yz is the easiest but I would love to put a crf or trx motor in there. I am a Honda guy.

I can be done, but the CRF motor is a good bit taller than a YZ so somebody that knows what they're doing needs to do it.

Get a 03/04 yz450 motor. They run killer and the 4 speed is a great track combo.

the 2011 yz motor is the ticket. you just got to figure out the reverse cylinder thing.

If its a 426 frame, you'll need to remove and relocate the very bottom motor mount down about 1/4" for the 450 motor, everything else is the same. As far as the CRF, if Schiavo gets my packages out today, i'll let you know next weekend how close the crf is to going in a yz 450 hybrid.

Thanks, that would be perfect!

My understanding is that the pivot bolt is actually in a different location for a true CRF vs YZ chassis. Something about the engine location and arrangement for traction, etc.

Not saying it wont work. Just saying there's a difference.
