Try changing out your pilot jet/ adjusting your fuel air screw. If that doesnt work it could be your needle setting...if it cleans up it doesnt sound like its your needle size itself.

It could be that your running too lean or too rich. If you could provide some more details that would help.

(still most likely sounds like jetting though)

I have a 50 jet in the pilot and a 155 jet in the main, where is the air mixture screw and where should it be set at?

not real fimaliar with the predator norm, but assume that it is rich on the bottom. To verify, pull choke right before you jump on the throttle. If it is lots worse, then yes, too rich. If better, than too lean.

It's definately your idle/pilot jet. A sputtering problem on initial throttle indicates an idle circuit problem in the carb since that jet specifically affects idle to a quarter throttle. I would try adjusting it. It's located on the bottom side of the carb on the intake side attached to the engine. you may have to remove a rubber plug to access it and to adjust it. Keep in mind that the bike should be at full operating temp according to the shop manual but to get you "about right" the shop manual specifies that the screw be turned 2.5 turns out from lightly seated. From there you can make your final adjustments. also, at normal operating temp, it's too hot to stick your hand in there with a screwdriver to make the adjustment so you will probably (for safety sake) need to buy a pilot adjustment screwdriver. It's basically a 90 degree screwdriver. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Are you talking about the air fuel mixture screw

Yes, sorry. I'm at work and keep getting distracted. Air/Fuel screw underneath the intake side of the carb. It's still 2.5 turns out from lightly seated though according to the service manual.
