How hot does the clutch cover and stator cover get?

Really? On an average 80 degree summer day riding a few laps around the MX track and stopping to rest, my sidecases get pretty darn hot. I can touch them for a half a second but no more lol.

I thought they did. I'm in the middle of a complete rebuild and I might have them chromed, but the way he chromes he says if the part gets above 147 degrees it will flake off. It's not dipped it's sprayed? Has anyone ever heard of this?

Iv been fallowing a few of them lately like to see all the intresting things people come up with and do while in the middle of a build. I am currently doing one but it just got put on hold cause I'm going back to school.

engines will run hot if jetted improperly. I would start with a larger main.
