thinking of going this route to do the 295cc big bore. i know alot of people have said that they have had problems with the head gasket not sealing on the big bore stock cylinders. talked to one of the techs at their shop and he said that they havent had any customers complaining about this problem. the esr big bores are not too much more expensive and i'll get a new cylinder, but i here that the porting on the esr's isnt that great and has to be cleaned up. the cylinder that i will send to them is ported already so i figure that will already be a leg up.

i know the esr seems more logical because it is a newer better design, but figure sometimes its good to try out the shops that dont have the biggest name. know what i mean ? :D

im not too sure on what has to be done but take into consideration that your already ported cylinder for a 250 will probably not match up perfect to the 295 sleeve. just a thought

the tech said that the cylinder being ported already isnt a problem. he said that they match everything up as part of the sleeving process

I have one of their 295 big bores and it never leaked. Pulled it off about 2 years ago and everything still looks fine.

i have recently looked into the LA sleeve 295 big bore. i have a cylinder with a cracked sleeve in it that has a nice port job.

who would be the better choice? kuston kraft or LA sleeve?

I had one done years ago and never had a problem

I ran the Head Gasket (not o-ring) and stock cyclinder head.

I also ran it at 185psi compression

I have a PDF of the LA Sleeve kit installation...if anyone wants me to e-mail it to them

here it is in TXT format without the diagrams

Here I've uploaded it as a TXT.....but it's really a PDF....so try download it and then rename it to TXT
