that 4 seater is pretty crazy. that is a 2011 model. I am not sure if i would wanna be riding with most people if i wasnt driving one of those babies. :eek2:  they look fun though. wish we had trails to fit them on here. steve

Street Legal Would be sick. i would be the 1st to buy one. i use to have a Chrysler Gem Car that was Street Legal Back in Florida it was Great just Couldn't go on any Roads 35MPH + and it Was Electric and the Battery's lasted for 30-35 Miles per Charge witch kinda sucked. i would have used it alot more if it was Gas and Alot Faster. but i lived on a Beach so it was great for just that. and it was a Real Chick Magnet:devil: . i Really Hope they Make it Street Legal that would be Awesome. sad to say but i would give up my Quads for one

it will be a 2wd 800 turbo with 17 inch of travel like a trophy truck ! that weighs less then a 1000 lbs . its going to mind blowing !

I'm thinking mud specific. High ground clearance, big tires, snorkels etc.

it says a hole new class of sxs,, and they just came out with there slow moving street legal golf cart type vehicle, so they have done street legal before, and here in montana you have to have your sxs and quad street legal to ride the trails and fire roads and yes you can ride on the city streets here. The other guess would be a hybred electric/gas vehicle since can am's spyder just went that way.

$16,000 dollars? Seriously, who is going to spend that kind of money on something to go beat the crap out of?

For a 3 year loan at 6% interest....516 dollars a MONTH!?!

sad but they will sell look at the rzrs and rzr 4 all are way over priced. you could buy a nice jeep or truck mod it and be able to use it every day.

i think your wrong comparing this side by side to a jeep

rhino = jeep

rzr = sand rail / trophy kart

cost is right in line with a trophy kart

i think this new polaris may be my pick for a side by side:scary:

it i pretty sick but sxs are crazy priced hence why i race my 450 vs a sxs

SRH

i had 27k in 2 race quads

broke my back

would of spent a extra 10k to have a built race sxs and had a roll cage

I doubt i'd end up buying the new xp since I already have a rzr but a side by side is in no way like a jeep in the woods. All the jokes aside about the other companies big dumb side by sides being jeeps they all are way more capable and most can go way faster than what a jeep could ever do on a plain trail.

Scro
01-05-2011, 12:34 PM
I don't think he is really comparing the two, just saying he would rather spend that much money on a Jeep. $16,000...and it's still just a Polaris.:p

wishmasstir
01-05-2011, 12:38 PM
yea your right, you could spend 16k on a jeep and it's still just a JEEP

lol thats what im saying

im really trying to decide between rzr xp and a trophy kart

im glad i waited after i got hurt to get into something like this , i would of been pissed if i was stock with a rhino or teryx like i initially considered

trophy kart

I can't see the picture/video of the trophy cart here at work but those things are cool. Everyone is already working on or developed a way to shorten the width of the rzr xp. I know Rath has one done already so you can make the xp's trail capable.

im really leaning towards a trophy kart my main intentions are to ride mx with my buddies, and race a few ne atv's cheaper, more built and ready to go than a utv

I dunno.....the SR1's are pretty f'ing fun! :) R1 power in a race Rhino.....way better than a Trophy Kart!

yeah id love to have one, but whats the cost to build one?

The guy that won the SR1 championship last season in LOORRS was into his Rhino for $13k total. He bought a used race Rhino and did the conversion.....but others who want to start out with a brand new car can spend close to $30k. Just depends.......

Shipping is alot cheaper than what you would think also. Theres a TON of smoking deals on utvs out west. Buy cheap and ship it on over.

You are very right about the east coast deal. When i first started my rhino build for the WPSA there were maybe only a few of us on the coast here trying to build something race worthy. And then the WPSA flopped of coarse, but luckfully i have been able to convert mine back over to a family 4 seater long travel machine.

I'd have to agree on the shipping - I think you could find a good deal if you looked - heck, might even get a seller to do it for a little extra.

I have seen it - Jagged X had them at the dunes for New Years. It's pretty cool....looks alot like an S, until you look at the suspension! The trailing arms will give it some great handling in the rough stuff, I think. The Fox shocks are pretty nice on it......it was plenty fast going up the hills. Not near as fast as my SR1, but very fast for a production machine, for sure! Being it's a whole new motor and new suspension....I'd like to see how it handles consumer abuse. Time will tell if that new suspension will hold up to what the consumers will put it through - lol! :)

how are the teryx's?

Now why did you have to go and tell me this...........

Are there gonna be open style classes for something that fits the SR1 builds?

SRH
01-06-2011, 08:47 PM
i think there going to have 1 class thats limited to stock motor and suspension just safety mods

and another class is just going to be open modified i dont see why you couldnt build a sr 1 but the finalized rules havent been posted up yet

then they have about 4 trophy kart classes

ideally i would love to find a built rhino and convert to sr1 or a built teryx and run it, but no way do i want to spend 20-30k to build one

so this has brought me back to the rzr time and time again, ive owned polaris i can imagine what im getting into but on a budget what choice do i have?

only thing thats urks me is buying something without looking it over for 10-15k and end up getting a clapped out ride

ive always had a intrest in short course racing and follow the lucas series and i miss burning laps since i got hurt and riding with my buddies im looking for something to take a beating and keep me safe
